Located directly next to the Clown Motel in Tonopah, NV, the Tonopah Cemetery  was founded on May 7, 1901 it was active until April 1911 as it filled up rather quickly. Some three hundred people are interred there, including many of Tonopah’s pioneer residents, many of whom fell victim to the mysterious 1902 “Tonopah Plague”, the cause of which still remains a mystery. I found that to be rather relatable in these times in which we live.
